Are you suggesting the same gubr'ment that despises everything about big oil except the tax revenue and is presumptively already in charge of the domestic fuel market get gas prices down to $2? If not them, whom, the speculators in the futures markets? The fracking genie is out of the bottle, and the rest of the world can pretend for only so long in this green energy revolution before it either adapts or becomes competitively bankrupt and irrelevant. When they adapt, there will be no incentive (profit) to export anymore (except to Japan which has no natural resources to speak of.)

That's too bad, the idiots are so short sighted they can't see beyond their proboscis and keep living their so called life as a neverending lie!

Funny how some idiots try to blame everything bad that happens anywhere in this country on the president but never give him any credit for anything good that happens.

I believe there is a lack of understanding here. Those who pump the oil buy the mineral rights from the land owner or they get a lease from the government and the rights are included. Companies then own the oil.
